Like every mother in the history of the universe, I can’t believe how fast the time has gone.. Its been the most magical six months ever and also extremely challenging and BIZZZZZZZYYYYYY. I’ve laughed, cried, panicked, smiled, screamed, worried… I’ve done pretty much everything except sleep :P I spend my daughter's naps wishing she was awake so I could cuddle and kiss her. Then when she gets up, I almost immediately fight a burning desire to put her back to bed! :D :P
I'm one of those crazy mothers who grab her snacks and enjoy eating them :D
As fast as the time has gone, we have been able to create SO MANY amazing memories with our sweet new baby
6 things to cherish/celebrate in the baby's 1st 6 months :)
1) Being a new mom: having a baby changes u in wonderful ways. U finally believe in 'love at 1st sight' and realize that u can love a complete stranger.
2) The first sight of ur baby: After a 9 month bond with your baby who had an imaginary face and with whom you shared a variety of your thoughts, emotions, experiences, expressions and the long ordeal of labor – You finally see your baby for the very first time – All pink, live and kicking! What a moment!! For many mothers, the moment in itself can be overwhelming. Simply because at that one moment, you realize that while you comprehend the physics, chemistry and biology of making a baby, you will never fully appreciate the divine element in human creation.
3) Her firsts: Her first babbles, her first time in the swing, her first family vacation, her first road trip, her first foods! So many wonderful memories to cherish for a life time.
4) Your achievements: You feel like a superhero the first time you’re able to calm your baby and turn her cries into content little coos.The first time you intuitively know if your baby is hungry, tired, or wet is the incredible moment you realize u’ve become an experienced parent.
5) when your baby snuggles with your parents: It’s an awe-inspiring moment the first time your parents hold your baby and you realize that they held you the same way all those years ago.
6) The hope that comes with a new baby! I say this a million times... there is nothing like a newborn baby. Nothing at all. There’s a hope that comes with a new baby born. A newness, a new outlook on life, a hope for possibility and beauty and everything wonderful in the world. It’s awesome to experience this firsthand. :)
